Rare Japanese WW2 Formosa Taiwan Infantry Officer's Sword
An excellent and rare sword carried by Formosan (Taiwanese) officers serving with Imperial Japanese forces during WW2. This example is in near mint condition, particularly the blade that retains all its original plating and faux hamon line to the bottom of the blade. The hilt has fine fishskin and brass twistwire to the grip. The gilt brass hilt has a fully working folding guard. Complete with its original leather and gilt brass, decorated, mounted scabbard.
