A good and rare example of a British 19th Century 1827 Pattern 60th Rifles Officer's Sword (King's Royal Rifle Corps). This is a very famous and elite British Army rifle regiment that took part in many historic battles and campaigns, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars and throughout the next century. The hilt is of standard 1827 Pattern type with steel hilt and strung bugle in cartouche. The grip is bound in fishskin and silver twistwire. Complete with its original steel scabbard.
