British 19th Century 1831 Pattern General Officer Mameluke Sword

A good example of a British Victorian 1831 Pattern General and Staff Officer's Mameluke

With an ivory grip secured by brass rivets and comprising a cast brass crossguard featuring the crossed batons of a General officer.  Forte with the retailer's name of Starkey and Co., Saville Row, London.  They were known to have been in operation from 1835.  The blade is etched with crossed batons, royal crown, cypher and scrolled floral decoration.  No scabbard.

Condition of the Mameluke

In good overall condition with crisp etching to the blade - a little staining.

Blade length is 32 inches (37 inches overall.
