An original example British Napoleonic 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Trooper's Sword.  This British Napoleonic military sword was carried by British light cavalry troopers throughout the Napoleonic Wars.  It had a long service life and was still being issued to native Indian troopers well into the latter stages of the Nineteenth Century.  Although many were produced, it is now becoming a scarce British military sword to locate.  Of standard type with stirrup hilt, ribbed wooden grip and shield langets - the grip would originally have been covered with leather.

Spear-point blade and iron scabbard

With wide and large and unusual upturned, spear point blade.  Complete with iron scabbard.  Original leather covering missing to the grip - losses to wood - some age wear damage to the scabbard.  Blade length is 32.5 inches (37 inches overall).
