A British 19th Century 1827 Pattern Rifle Officer's Sword with finely etched blade comprising a royal VR crown, Rifle Brigade's strung bugle motif and scrolling foliage.  The hilt also has a regulation strung bugle in cartouche and the hilt retains all original fishskin covering and twistwire.  It is maker marked to "STEAMER" - this is a very unusual maker and little is known about them and they appear quite infrequently.  No scabbard.

In good overall condition.

Blade length is 32 inches (38 inches overall).
