A scarce and huge Chinese Nationalist dated 1914 Dadao Sword
These massive swords were issued to ordinary soldiers and used from the early 1900’s and right through the Japanese occupation and end of WW2. It takes the form of a large and heavy cleaver-type blade with a long, cord-bound grip and ring pommel. The sword has a leather scabbard that it dated 1914.
