An interesting European Napoleonic seaman's dagger knife dirk. The blade for this knife comes from a very old broadsword (probably from the previous century) and also comprises a brass hilt with a wooden and brass twistwire to the grip. Would have made a very handy close quarter fighting weapon. With consequent age wear to the blade and some chips to the wooden grip. Both hilt and blade are solid and with no movement. Blade length is 11 inches (16 inches overall).
