An unusual Late-19th Century North African Bayonet Knife. This is a native made piece and appears to have been constructed from an old European socket bayonet blade that has been attached to a rounded bone grip. The hilt mounts are brass. The knife comes with an elaborate and attractive inlaid chequered scabbard. No doubt a unique item. Blade length is 12 inches (17 inches overall).
