A large Scottish Highland Light Infantry NCO’s Piper’s Brooch.  This would have been worn by a senior NCO Piper and worn with a wide baldric across the shoulder.  The brooch is made from polished white metal and gilt pressed brass.  The badge comprises numerous battle honours that range from the Napoleonic Wars through to the Boer War.

Regimental badge of the Highland Light Infantry to centre of badge

The white metal badge in the middle is the regimental badge of the Highland Light Infantry and has a King’s crown that dates it post-Victorian and probably mid-20th Century.  The brooch still retains its original pin to the reverse.  Condition is excellent throughout.  Diameter is 3.75 inches.
